If you are in the Panama City Beach area, and looking for something off the beaten path to do, check out Conservation Park for some amazing Panama City trails. Close to town, this little known park will take you on a tour of the “real” Florida, with well marked trails and peace. The trails range from just 1-2 miles to over 10 miles. The park is over 2000 acres, and is ideal for all nature lovers.

At the park, you can walk, run, ride a bike, take your dog on a stroll, or even ride a Segway! Maps are provided at the trailhead. Most of the trails are flat gravel/sand mixture winding through forest. You’ll also find some boardwalks at the park. For the cyclists, this park connects to Gayle’s Trails, which will lead you to Brown Park in town. Be aware: some trails may be muddy and soggy after a recent rain storm.

Along the trail, you may encounter some wildlife, such as woodpeckers, glass lizards, frogs, and rabbits. If you visit during the evening hours, you may ever hear or see wild hogs!

We hope you enjoy visiting the Panama City trails at Conservation Park. Looking for more to do in the Panama City Beach area? Check out our post on things to do in Panama City.
