Looking for some free splash pads in Melbourne and the surrounding areas? Below you’ll find a list of all the ones we know about that are either free of charge or very inexpensive all along the space coast. Better yet, we have a free downloadable map showing all the budget friendly and free splash pad locations in the county.

1. The Avenue Viera
Located right in front of the AMC theater, stop in the summer to cool off in the splash pad. This splash pad is located in the center of a shopping plaza with many shops and restaurants.

4. Sand Point Park
This splash pad is located on the northern end of the county in a huge park on the river. The splashpad is centrally located. The park itself is enormous and also has a playground, a walking path, and a boat ramp. Plan a trip to this park when there is a rocket launch from the Kennedy Space Center and you’ll get an awesome view!

2. Cocoa Riverfront Park
This splash pad makes a great stop-over while you are hanging out in cocoa village. The splash pad is small, but it’s close to other fun amenities. While you’re playing with your kids at this splash pad, you’ll enjoy a nice view of the river at the park. Also, it’s close to cocoa village, where you can walk over and grab some lunch. Riverfront Park also has a playground, restrooms, large greenspace, and a short walking path by the water.

3. Palm bay Aquatic Center $4

This smaller aquatic center is open during the summers, with limited hours in the winter (please call to confirm). Along with a splash pad, the palm bay aquatic center also has a lap pool.

5. Field of Dreams

Field of dreams offers a free splash pad for kids among several other activities at the park. They have a skate park, large playground that accommodates children with special needs, a soccer field, large shaded pavilion. They even have a concession stand that is open on the weekends. 6. Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center $3-$9
This splash pad is listed last on the list, because it’s more run down than the others and sometimes the kiddie pool is not open. When everything is open, this aquatic center has a lap pool, slide, and splash area. Please call to confirm before making the drive out to the center!
